WORLD MATHS DAY 2021
This week we participated in two World Maths Day events. On Wednesday we took part in the Mathletics Live Challenge and on Friday we calculated coins for the NSPCC Number day.
I am delighted to share the marvellous results from the Mathletics World Maths Day live challenge as the P7 class came 2nd highest in the UK, the P6 class were placed 8th and our P3 class were 14th! This is remarkable as schools from across the UK and the World participated in this event. We are so proud of you all and this wonderful achievement.
We also marked the occasion by celebrating the top three pupils in each class.
Well done:
Shea Mc Coy 245 Daithi O’Rourke 196 Liam Mc Coy 132 |
Freddie Phelan 516 Ryan Toale 477 Ronan Mc Nally 425 |
Luke Mc Bennett 394 Fionnan O’Rourke 312 Hannah Hughes 156 |
Paraic Mc Genity 460 Tony Winters 430 Caolan O’Rourke 405 |
Maeve Murphy 602 Ava O’Neill 516 Setanta Mc Donald 507 |

A special mention to the O'Rourke family who all appeared in their class top three lists! Well done Daithi, Fionnan and Caolan.
Thank you for all of your loose change too. Our last tally amounted to almost £500 for the NSPCC! We greatly appreciated your kindness for this event.
We all enjoyed a visit from Izak9 to all of our classes too this week.
Keep up the wonderful Maths work at home using Mathletics until the end of the year!
Mrs Mc Ardle
