Water Footprint Menu Challenge
World Water Day 2021 will focus on the theme, 'Valuing Water'. This event celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water.
Join NI Water and water companies from across the UK this World Water Day to investigate the water footprint of the food we eat. Find out what a water footprint is and how the amount of water we each use is much more than the water than comes directly from the tap!
If you wish you can take part in the World Water Day challenge to discover the water footprint of your favourite foods and design your own family friendly menu with the lowest possible water footprint. I have attached a document with all the information you will need to help you with the challenge. It is hoped that this work will be shared at the World Water Day live event on 22nd March.
You can submit a copy of your menu to your class teacher before Tuesday 16th March.
