Visit from the NI Dairy Council
Today the primary 5 & 6 classes really enjoyed a visit from the Ni Dairy Council. They learnt all about having a healthy, balanced lifestyle and why we need to eat some dairy foods to keep their bones and teeth healthy. They also learnt about food and fitness and how important it is to have a balance. They especially enjoyed taking part in the Food & Fitness Rap! This programme reinforced what we have been doing in class for the last few weeks in our topic of Food in W.A.U. It helped to teach the children about the benefits of a balanced diet and an active lifestyle. Each child got a book to take home with lots of different healthy tips and recipes.
