The whole school had a fabulous workshop with author Chris Duke, who wrote Lucy's Blue Day- a book to teach children about emotions and how it's ok to feel angry, sad, jealous, excited and happy. Chris is an inspirational man who told the children stories of his life and his 4 goals- to become a dad, to be an author, to work as a radio DJ and to be a wrestler. A clip can be found of him on you tube as he was one the ITV show " This time next year" as he told of his journey of losing 13 stone and becoming a wrestler. His message to the kids of DPS was you can achieve anything if you never give up! Some children also got to hold his wrestling belt.
