Trip to Stormont
The Pastoral Care Team and Eco Council had a very enjoyable trip to Stormont Parliament Buildings today. Pupils began by entering the Chamber and were joined by local MLAs Justin McNulty and Conor Murphy. Pupils then had the opportunity to debate issues in the Assembly Chamber, followed by a vote. After this we entered the Senate Chamber and found out what it has been used for in the last year. Finally pupils listened to an interesting presentation on the role of MLAs and compared the qualities which MLAs need, to those which pupils display as members of their respective teams. Thank you to our fantastic tour guide Ann-Marie, for a very informative tour. Before heading home on the bus we enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and had our lunch outside.
