Trip to Silent Valley
21st Oct 2019
Today the Primary 7 class had a fabulous trip to Silent Valley, as they are learning all about the topic of water, in world around Us. The weather and scenery were gorgeous.
We walked 260 steps up to the top of the Ben Crom Dam and walked across the Silent Valley Dam.
The pupils learnt a lot of information about the history of both dams from our walking trails and from the exhibitions in the Visitor Centre. We saw the exit of the Binnian Tunnel, the Overflow, the Valve Tower and Watertown House, to name just some of the Interest Points.
On the way home we travelled through Hilltown and we were also able to see Spelga Dam, as well.
