Transport topic in P1: Today's visitors
WALT: I can spot similarities and differences between a vintage bus and a modern mini.
This morning we had the opportunity to see and ask questions about a vintage bus called a senglea. Cathal, the driver showed us the rack on the top for luggage, the spare tyre, ledge for people to stand on the outside and hold on to. It had an oval window and a square window with wooden frames. The horn sounded like it had a frog in its throat. It was a funny sound. We got to sit inside the bus and pretend we were on are way to the beach.
After that Arabella’s mum showed us her mini. It was green with black strips and a red roof. She designed it herself. Her name was on the side. Only four people can fit inside the mini. She also had a personalized number plate. We were able to sound out the word 'Mini.'
