We have settled very well into our new class this year. We are working hard with Mrs Fearon, Geraldine and Chloe and we look forward to welcoming Mrs McGowan before Halloween. We have begun our topic of ‘Fairy Tales’ and are really enjoying listening to well known traditional tales.
During plan-do-review, we have been exploring the topic through activities including creating our favourite fairy tale character, story maps, 3d junk, lego and mobilo fairy tale houses and buildings, playing in the role play castle and playing with the small world fairy tale toys .
We also have been busy working with our artist Julia on a Tuesday and Thursday morning in our small groups. We have just begun a topic about Newry, creating buildings found in the town and discussing a variety of occupations.
We will be continuing with our fairy tale topic over the next few weeks, when we will also be exploring the seasonal events of Halloween and Autumn. Keep watching for more photos of us busy during plan-do-review.
