Our new topic of Pirates has generated a lot of interest in primary three. We have been looking closely at pirate ships and have been testing materials to see which materials float best. The children have also noticed the importance of having a boat that is evenly balanced. They have had to adapt their original plans to make sure their boats could float before they began to paint them. They have been making great progress and we hope to test them out on the water in a big ship race next week !
