Our school chaplain and Parish Priest, Fr Seamus White, facilitated the P7 Leavers' Mass on Friday 23rd June. We had a packed church as all the families of the P7 pupils were joined by the pupils and staff of the school. We were also joined by Sr Anne Lynne, Diocesan Advisor, who is taking a sabbatical from her post and joined us for a service of thanksgiving. We had a beautiful Mass in which all the Primary 7 pupils had a special role to play. One of the prayers of the faithful called on us to pray for all our staff families who are sick and going through a difficult time. The choir, led by Ann-Marie Hanratty and Orlagh Maginn, was very special and many visitors to the church commented on how the children's singing enhanced the Sacrament. Mrs McKeown invited everyone in the Church back to the school for a continental breakfast and reminded the children that the doors of the Church and the doors of the school would always be open for them. She urged them to say the Prayer to the Guardian Angel every day to keep them safe, and to visit the Church as they passed. Special thanks went to Shauna and Ellen, Mrs McGowan and Father Seamus for enriching the Mass.
