As part of the P6 World Around Us topic " Christmas around the world" the class had a great day at Newry Museum and took part in several workshops. We divided into two groups and each group got a chance to play with toys from the Victorian era, toys from different parts of the world, old wooden toys and modern toys.
We also learned more facts about how the modern Christmas came about invented in the Victorian times. The children enjoyed learning about other cultures traditions and where some of our traditions originated from.
We then all got to make a Christmas craft to take back to school. A great morning had by all and we all got into the Christmas Spirit.
