P2 had a fantastic trip today to Quality Time in Banbridge. Quality Time is a learning through play centre for young children. Each month the play area has a new theme. This month the theme was ‘Autumn, Forest and Bears.’ This tied in with our current Fairy Tales and Autumnal themes. When we arrived the Gruffalo welcomed us all to play. We even got our photo with him. Then pupils were divided into two groups and participated in a themed art workshop creating their own sand woodland animal picture and mask. They also had an opportunity to play in the heavily resourced play area which included The Three Bears Cottage, Autumn animal puppets and stories and an array of construction, small world and fine motor skills resources. Pupils also received a fantastic healthy snack of milk, water, pancakes, breadsticks, rice cakes, cheese and grapes. Our class mascot Jess the Cat joined us. We also welcomed our new teacher Mrs McGowan, who will be joining us before Halloween. A great day was had by all! Thanks to Natasha and her team for having us.
