In P4 our topic is Polar regions.
We have recently been making lots of new discoveries about polar region animals and how they survive in the extremely cold weather conditions. The term blubber appeared regularly and the children were curious about what it was and how it helped keep the animals warm. So we decided to investigate!
We had a lot of fun during our experiment but most of all we learned that by covering our hands in a thick layer of blubber we could withstand the cold for much longer than without it.
