Inspired by an Artist!
Today in WAU we took a different approach to our topic. Instead of thinking of ways we can keep ourselves safe and sound we took some time to explore and consider what animals can do to keep themselves safe.
Our discussion lead us to talking about camouflage and how some animals can very cleverly blend into their environment in order to keep themselves safe from potential predators.
We then looked at some art work in which the artists capture animals camouflaged in their habitat. We focussed on the artist Henri Rousseau and his painting ‘Tiger in a Tropical Storm’ as inspiration for our own creations.
I think you will agree that our P4 boys and girls did a wonderful job with their collage outcomes inspired by Henri Rousseau’s ‘Tiger in a Tropical Storm’.
