We are delighted to welcome back our families and community to sports day on Friday 9th June. We are looking forward to seeing you all. The weather is to be fabulous, so all is going in our favour. No doubt your children have been sharing their sports day practice stories - there's great excitement in the air. Parents and families are welcome to join us from 10.30 to 12.30. The schedule of events is attached. The afternoon is for pupils only.
Friday is also National Childhood Day as promoted by the NSPCC. The NSPCC has been providing us with the preventative curriculum materials for years now, 'Keeping Safe' and we want to do a fundraising event for them. Grainne Girvan from the NSPCC will be joining us on Friday and will be taking photographs. If you do not wish your child to be photographed, please let the office know and we will guide Grainne.
To mark the return of our families and grandparents we are hosting a few events under the theme of 'Down Memory Lane' There will be Wellie Throwing, Hanging the Towels on the Line, Guess How Many Sweets are in the Jar, Throw the Sack on the Hay and Name the Teddy. These activities will cost 50p to enter.
Our fundraising efforts will also include - a treat bag for each child, including a drink, crisps and sweets - suggested donation of 50p
Coffee/Tea and scones for parents - suggested donation of £2
ALL money taken on the day will go directly to the NSPCC.
