At Dromintee Primary School we are very proud of Primary 7 pupil Neil McGenity who today participated in the Environmental Youth Speak Final in Downpatrick. Neil and nine other finalists selected from schools in Newry, Mourne and Down performed their speeches in front of judges, parents and teachers.
Neil's speech titled 'Welcome to the World of Waste Wizardry. Lesson One: Making Our Waste Disappear', tackled the major issues around waste and litter and the impact it is having on our planet. An enthusiastic member of the Eco Commitee, he did not shy away from the challenge of writing and performing a speech in front of others.
