Credit union information session in Maths Week
Today Aisling and Helen from Slieve Gullion Credit Union held an information session in the hall for P4-P7 classes. The ladies informed us about the role of the Credit Union and how the Slieve Gullion branch was formed 50 years ago. We discussed the importance of saving and then the ladies told us about the new initiative to help pupils in our school save money. Pupils will be able to open an account and lodge it once a month when Helen visits the school. Each pupil took home an application form to discuss and complete with their parents. We also received colourful pencils and some pupils were awarded a Credit Union bag during a Maths quiz conducted by Aisling as part of Maths Week.
We thank the ladies for their session today.
