Celebrating Anti-Bullying Week in Primary 1
We have enjoyed participating in Anti-Bullying Week in P1. We have participated in circle time activities, to discuss how we demonstrate the theme of respect. We read the story of the ‘Three Bullying Goats Gruff.’ In this story we learnt how they smallest goat Biff, was not very nice to the biggest goat Bert. He would leave him out of games in the playground and say hurtful things to him. Bill the medium sized goat noticed that Bert was sad. When no one was around he would talk to Bert and smile at him. However when the other goats were about, he would just keep quiet when Biff was being mean to Bert. This is an example of a bystander. We learnt about the importance of being an upstander and discussed ways in which we could do this in P1.
We also participated in a class colouring competition and created colourful posters with the slogan ‘I respect others.’ We all looked brilliant in our yellow clothes for ‘Wear Yellow for Respect’ day and enjoyed listening to the Pastoral Care Team/Anti-Bullying Ambassadors assembly.
