Amarah brought her new puppy to school to show us when we were learning about pet animals. We also had a chat about how much work is involved taking care of a pet. During Numeracy we created a graph to illustrate P2 pets pupils have and discussed the results. Some pupils even practiced their sorting skills using the jungle animals at Plan Do Review. Literacy sessions provided opportunities to read and enjoy lots of books by Julia Donaldson and Nick Butterworth. We used the Gruffalo description to draw him with great detail, wrote simple reports about woodland, pet and jungle animals, sorted 'Shark in the Park' rhyming families and loved taking in objects/ items for our animal Show and Tell.
