Last year primary five, six and seven worked alongside Irish author, Declan Carville to create this fantastic story, which is set in the local area. Julia also worked with the current primary three, four and five classes to decorate the frames for the story. Today children from primary six and seven read their book 'The Ring of Gullion' to the whole school. Everyone really enjoyed it.
This book will be displayed on the school walls from next Tuesday (5th Dec) onwards and we welcome back Declan Carville on this day for a book signing. He will be in school from 9.00 to 11.00 and we welcome parents to view the story on the school wall and to meet Declan and possibly get him to sign some of his books which will be available for purchase on the day. We also have a copy of the children's story on DVD priced at £5 which may serve as a stocking filler at Christmas. Refreshments will be on offer. We look forward to seeing you then.
