The Board of Governors, Principal, staff and pupils of Dromintee Primary School, deeply regret the death of their esteemed friend and former colleague Siobhan. Siobhan taught in Dromintee Primary School for 16 years, retiring just 10 years ago with ill health. She was a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher whose legacy continues in the school. She was a wonderful teacher and motivated the early years’ team with her infectious enthusiasm for creativity and learning. She had a deep devotion to Our Lady which she shared with the school family. Siobhan’s father, Gerry McQuade, was principal of Dromintee Primary School for 14 years previous to Siobhan joining the staff. He also served on the Board of Governors. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the McQuade family circle. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her. Children and staff will pay their respects to Siobhan on Thursday at her Requiem Mass in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge.
