Safer Internet Day in Dromintee Primary School

6th Feb 2018

The Pastoral Care Team presented a Safer Internet Assembly today, to the P4-7 pupils. They shared the theme for this year ‘Create, connect and share respect: A better internet starts with you.’ The Pastoral Care Team encouraged pupils to think about how we can use the internet positively to connect with our family and friends online. They also encouraged pupils to think about the effect our behaviour online, can have on our own feelings and the feelings of other people. The Pastoral Care Team finished by reminding us all of the ‘Granny rule,’ which they learnt during their Anti-Bullying Ambassador training day. So remember… if you wouldn’t want your Granny to see it, don’t post it! Think before you type!

The P7 Pastoral Care Team members also spoke to P1-3 pupils this afternoon, before they watched a presentation about the 3 Little Monsters at school. P3 pupils shared their posters with the P1 and 2 pupils, reminding them about the SMART Rules- (Safe/Meeting/Accepting/Reliable/Tell). Happy Safer Internet Day!
