May assembly

31st May 2019
The Pastoral Care Team held their Random Acts of Kindness awards which they presented to pupils from P1 to P7.  The awards covered a variety of acts which they witnessed as they went undercover in the playground.  At the end they gave a special award to 2 pupils in P1 for helping others.  The anti-bullying ambassadors sang their rap highlighting their significant role in the school.  It gives advice to pupils who are unsure what to do if they are ‘in a bit of a mess . . . come and find a yellow vest’.  After a quick Q and A from the pupils all assembled are really, really sure that bullying is wrong.   The choir and the P4 children were given everyone’s best wishes for tomorrow for Holy Communion.  They have been practising in the Church together and are excited about this significant day in our school life. The Eco council have been working hard as they get close to their assessment for the green flag  this Wednesday.  They have enhanced the lives of the pupils in our school and educated us on healthy living, waste and global perspective.   The monthly AR and Mathletics awards were given out.  Primary 6 have won the class award for Mathletics this month with the highest accuracy of all the classes.  Ultan got a gold bar award.  He was the only pupil this month to get a gold bar.  The AR results were announced – 100% accuracy in a quiz went to  Lily, Pip, Sally, Ruby, Ava, Maggie, Emma, Micheal, Siofra, Grace, Alanna and Ellie.  The ice cream party challenge for the month of June was launched by Mrs Murray.
