Our green flag assessor, Mrs Corkin, visited the school this morning and we are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Green Flag Eco School Award. The eco committee have worked very hard this year and also the previous eco committees and teacher leaders should be commended for their efforts in firstly obtaining the bronze and silver awards that lead us to our Green Flag today. The assessor was very through and asked the eco committee lots of questions. The eco committee showed her our school website, our two display boards of our eco work and activities, the fantastic work of the gardening club and we walked through the school ground. Well done to the litter picking volunteers, as there was not one piece of litter on our school grounds!
Thank you to all the children from P1- P7 who have taken part in all the activities organised by the eco committee. The eco committee went round each class to show off the Green Flag. Mrs Corkin was very impressed with the whole school approach.
